Vila Praia de Âncora is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Caminha, with an area of 8.15 km² and 4 820 inhabitants (2011). Its population density is 591.4 inhabitants / km². It is the most populous village and parish in the municipality of Caminha.
Located at the end of a protected valley to the north by Serra D'Arga and to the south by Monte de Santa Luzia, Vila Praia de Âncora is a fishing village full of traditions. The Âncora River divides the beach, awarded with the Blue Flag: the northern part, where a small pool is formed, suitable for children's play, is bordered by a pontoon, close to Lagarteiro Fort and a small fishing port; the southern part, which is accessed via a bridge reserved for pedestrians, is shaped by a dune cord, protected by long wooden walkways.
